Merry Christmas, Everyone!
I don’t know how or if you celebrated Christmas today, but I know that Christ celebrates you every day.
You were made for a purpose so much bigger than yourself. You were made to take care of where God has planted you. Even in those seasons where you feel dormant or stuck in the dirt. Remember: the richest soil is made up from a lot of undesirable stuff, turned over, allowed to rest, and then trusted to grow more when the season changes.
I’ve had a hard Christmas season this year because I had surgery. Kidney stones were blasted and removed from my body in quite a traumatic way. I thought I’d feel like myself by Christmas, but, alas, I do not.
My body aches. I have low energy. For some reason my hip hurts on that side. And even though I’m capable, picking up my children is not good for my healing right now. So there’s a learning curve for everyone.
I thought so many things had to happen to make Christmas special. Going to tree lightings, seeing
