Be bold. Be assertive. Be out of control.

But do it anyway!

“Be strong and courageous”

“You hedge me in before and behind”

“Blessed are the meek”

How do all of these fit together?

God holds us and charges us with tasks that are beyond our comfort zone because He knows that is where we must completely rely on Him.

He doesn’t let us down whenever we fall on Him. Anything beyond our own controlled area (which, let’s be honest, is pretty small) God carries you through. Not to give you a larger area that you feel like you can handle on your own, but to reignite your awe and reverence for God Almighty.

I’m pushy. But I’m nice pushy. I’m not pushy for my own benefit and good, but I am pushy to let me help you.

I’ve always been this way, but especially as a mom. I want to have a village to call my own in life. In a village, families help one another.

America doesn’t have villages.

I don’t know why, but the American spirit has more than an element of “I can do this on my own. I am strong – asking for help is for the weak,” mentality.

But what if we got it wrong? What if asking for help came from knowing our strength and worth and acknowledging that we have an end to ourselves?
