Different, Not Wrong

Posted on August 7, 2024August 25, 2026 by Deborah

”For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.“
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

”And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.“
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

My mom always told me that my dad does things “different, not wrong.” Like when it’s time to clean the house for a big family event, he washes the outsides of the windows or cleans the garage.

Different, not wrong.

Attaching that to my personal philosophy has served me well in multiple areas.

Marriage: I am married to a man. We are inherently different.
